Angelica Strings

Ordered the string quartet and everyone said the music was fantastic! Too bad I only heard our processional songs. But if everything was like that I am sure that is was perfect!

I was referred to Angelica Strings by my wedding planner -- Cheryl was responsive and easy to work with from the beginning. We worked together on many of my more obscure music requests, and on the day of the wedding, Angelica Strings surprised me with finding the music and learning a song that they had previously said wasn't in their repertoire. I was thrilled to hear the music at the recessional (on top of being married). The guests all raved at how good the strings sounded and at the range of music they were able to play (from Journey to Disney to Sound of Music to Classical). Given that many of our pieces were opera arias transformed for strings, Angelica made the pieces sound absolutely breathtaking -- hearing the processional song outside the doors for my father and me to walk in made me pause and take it all in. In response to an earlier post, I found Angelica Strings to be very competitive for the number of hours and musicians offered alone, not even counting the extra effort for more "unusual" music choices. Thank you so very much for making such a special part of my day even better and going above and beyond!

They were a bit more expensive than the other, but we definitely got what we paid for. Extremely talented musicians, but more than that, they catered to our needs. We were already very impressed with Angelica Strings, but when they played "Star Wars" when we cut the cake, that took the cake =) Thank you so much for making the day special. We enlisted the help of Angelica Strings for our ceremony music. Cheryl was such a pleasure to work with and made the process of having a ceremony musician so simple and flawless! I could call or email her any time with any of my questions or requests for music choices help and she was always there! Our harpist showed up on time looking professional and playing absolute angelic music! Couldn't have asked for more!

Angelica strings played beautifully for our January 2011 wedding. They were somewhat expensive for the quintent ($900 for 1 hour). My now husband really wanted a quintent for the ceremony and he really enjoyed it. Sadly, as the bride, I wasn´t able to enjoy the music much as I was in the back during most of the play time. I think the music added some sophistication to the ceremony and guests enjoyed the music!

Just wish I could have spent more time listening to their music; all I heard was the music I walked down the aisle to, Canon D, but it sounded great! Others who attended said the music was lovely. The group arrived on time, set up and played as had been discussed. They were very easy to work with and did a great job, Cheryl was the contact person.

I would definitey recommend Angelica Strings for ceremony and cocktail hour music. They were extremely professional and Cheryl was a pleasure to work with. Although we didn't get to meet in person until the wedding day, I felt very comfortable in speaking with Cheryl over the phone and getting her input as to what would work for the ceremony. I also gave them a piece of music to play for the ceremony that was new to their repetoire and they played it just beautifully! Although I didn't have a chance to hear them at the cocktail hour (taking pictures!) I heard from many others that they played an amazing variety of music and were very good. They were a true success!

One of the easiest vendors we hired for the wedding. We met with them once and brought the song slections, and they filled in with some beautiful songs. They just seemed to know what we liked. As the bride, I didn't get to hear them play much at the ceremony, but by all accounts it was beautiful. Besides being talented (I did hear them play at the initial meeting), they are extremely professional. Some vendors we used didn't really have their act together, so we felt like we had to constantly check in and confirm, but we never had this problem with Angelic Strings.

Angelica Strings were a pleasure to work with. They were very professional and prompt. I was concerned at first that they would not be familiar with the venue, we had the wedding at a private house and it was outdoors, but they were great! The music was beautiful!

Great to look at, even better to hear. Lovely ladies who actually like their gig! Class act. Highly recommend for any occasion. They know their stuff. What a pleasure to deal with as well.

We had Angelica Strings provide a string quartet do the ceremony music for our wedding. To be honest, as the bride, I unfortunately don't really remember hearing them at all because I was so preoccupied with everything else! But all my guests said they were great and that it really added a classic touch to the wedding than having your typical canned music. They were a little bit more expensive then other string groups I had looked at before them but my contact, Cheryl Gates, handled my requests personally and professionally. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to add a little bit of class to their wedding.

cheryl with angelica strings was extremely helpful, even humming out song suggestions over the phone when i didn't know what was appropriate. angelica strings showed up on time and knew when to queue the music by just looking at a program and communicating with the event coordinator. i never met them face to face... i actually feel badly that i never met angelica strings in person (although i saw them on the loggia), but they did such a great job, without direction.

They were professional, responsive and sounded amazing. I study classical music for 12 years, while taking piano and clarinet, so I listened to 2 dozen tapes/cd's before I chose Angelica. I was extremely pleased with the outcome.
