The staff at Ferndale's is spectacular. Ferndale's has a huge selection of dresses and Ana did not mind me coming in 3-4 different times to try on every dress I wanted to. My fittings went great, my alterations were perfect; I even had a bolero custom made to match my strapless dress and it matched perfectly. The girls at Ferndale's take a stressful task of finding THE dress and making it into an enjoyable occasion. I might also add, their pricing is VERY fair and reasonable, of course depending on your budget.

Ferndales bridal did an amazing job. From helping me pick out my dress to alterations. The team at ferndales was always available when I had questions. I loved my dress and I wouldnt have dreamed of wearing another dress. Thank you Connie for my custom Veil I got so many complements.

I made quite a few alterations to my off the rack dress. I purchased an Impressions Bridal Freda wedding dress for an amazing price and took off one strap as well as put in a corset back. Although I did have a few more fittings then I originally imagined I knew I was in good hands the entire time! Service was amazing and friendly. My dress turned out to be 1000% better then what I could of ever imagined!

The dresses are definitely affordable which was most important to me. I believe they're all under $2000. I was looking for a dress under $1000 and ended up picking one that was only $700. I was happy with my dress and overall a happy customer. However, i had my dress altered the first time and it turned out terrible. The lady who altered it must not have known what she was doing. I thought the dress was ruined but the owner came to the rescue and fixed the alterations. If you feel nervous when getting alterations, ask for the owner to do them and you can rest assured that it'll be done right. They were flexible with times and had evening hours available for my first appointments when I was finding a dress and my fitting appointments.

Ana always helped me at Ferndales. She was quick and knowledgeable. My alterations came out perfectly, I received so many compliments on my dress and headpiece that i purchased from Ferndales!

My dress was AMAZING!!!!!!!! I loved it! Ferndales found me the perfect dress, in my budget and everyone was so helpful. This is the ONLY place I tell my friends and family to go when they start looking for their wedding dresses!

“Oh my God! Who did this.... did you cry?” I knew that employees at Ferndales could be very rude, from reading other reviews; I experienced that too, but didn’t think it mattered. What a mistake! Terrible, terrible experience with alterations on the wedding dress that I bought here. I had spent months looking for the perfect dress, and they mangled it. When they finally got around to hemming the bottom, after the third fitting, they cut it terribly uneven, and too short in patches. They didn't even hem the underlayers, just left jagged cuts, like a drunken child with scissors had gone at it. My fiance was shocked to see what they had done to my beautiful dress. They insisted that nothing was wrong, particularly insisting that having the bottom an inch off the ground was not too short, and that wanting it longer was just “a personal preference.” They said that what they gave me is how the dress is supposed to look, that no one would notice, and that I am just too particular. Over $300 on alterations, and they couldn't even be bothered to properly hem it. This is besides all the tears, holes, ironing-scars and runs that they put into it, and the improper sewing of the pleats at the waistline, leaving an open, fraying seam. The first line of this post, by the way, is what a seamstress at another bridal shop said when she saw how Ferndales had left my dress. Do not get your dress altered here, or you will be taking a HUGE risk.

They were able to accomadate the dress I wanted at the price I wanted and at the time I needed it. I even got to meet the designer and he was amazing.

I originally found my dress in Michigan where I am from and there were only a few places in the Southern California area that carried the designer and only Ferndals with the actual dress. Naturally it was less expensive in Michigan and Ferndales did a price match on that price. I was very happy they did that. Sometimes they didn't seem as organized as they might have been, but in the end my dress was altered correctly and looked great. They have tons of dresses to chose from. I ended up buying all of my accessories elsewhere. They also have a tux rental department, but we wanted suits and did not use them.

I had a smooth experience purchasing my dress from Ferndales. Nothing dramatic or crazy. I found a great dress that matched the shoes I originally bought. First time around, I went with my best friend. They took down my top 3 dresses and kept my information for the next time. I returned with my mom and tried the dresses again. It was prompt and professional. They found the dresses that were on my info card as my mom and I looked around the store some more. I tried them on again and fell in love with my dress. Unfortunately, my dress was not on sale, but the price was pretty good and my mom and I both loved it. I did not get my alterations there so I can't rate their alteration services, but my experience there was simple, yet pleasant.

Do not go to Ferndales Bridal....run.....sprint....go to Mary Me Bridal or Mariposa. This place is a dump, the sales associates are unfriendly, and alterations are a total rip off. Let me tell you my experiences. 1. When altering my dress, they got the dress dirty.....they must have pricked their finger when altering, because there was a blood stain and dirt around the top. To top it off, they acted like I was crazy when I wanted them to clean it up. Here I was with my $1600 dress and it had a blood stain and dirt on it. 2. They charged me $450 in alterations for a hem, bustle, rounding out the top, and taking it in. I wanted it to be perfect and they made me feel bad when I told them the top still wasn't right. This is not good customer service. Also their floor is dirty, so everytime you try on the dress, you feel like your dress is getting dirty and they drag it all over the floor when you are trying it on. 3. They told me the dress would be ready and it wasn't so I had to drive back there twice with no dress. 4. I don't know why I was crazy enough to let them clean it after the wedding. The owner said her cleaners could get out red wine and dirt with no problems. When I picked up the dress it was as dirty as when I brought it in and still had the wine stain. She still wanted to charge me $150 and said there was no way to get the stains out. She asked me if I rolled around in dirt on my wedding day. The nerve!! She wouldn't budge on the $150 when I told her it wasn't fair and to meet me half way, so I left the dress there. The next day I spoke with the owners daughter, she had the dress cleaned again and charged me half, but the dress still wasn't clean. I was so upset. Finally, I took the dress somewhere else to get cleaned. Guess what???? They got all the the stains out. The owner at Ferndale's lied to me!!!!!! She said the stains were impossible to get out. Ridiculous! So now I'm out $75 for the poor cleaning at Ferndales and another $100 for the new cleaners. Please take my advice and do not go to Ferndales. They will not make you feel like a special bride, they treat your dress like trash, and you will not get good customer service. I can't believe they are still in business with the way they treat their customers.

My girls and I had a very poor experience at this bridal salon. We made an appointment and we had to wait 15 minutes. The owner was a little abrasive during and after the appointment (I left a comment on Yelp and she was not too happy with that).

Not great at knowing all of their merchandise. they didn't know they had the dress i wanted, even though i had tried it on a year earlier. luckily they found it toward the end of the day and i was able to buy it. it was beautiful, and the veil they picked was perfect to go with it.

After going to several bridal boutiques, I went to Ferndales to try on dresses. They had a HUGE selection and were very reasonable in pricing! Roz helped me with my dresses...she was so much fun to work with and a huge help! I felt very comfortable at Ferndales, unlike some of the bigger and more expensive boutiques where I felt a bit intimidated and less helped. They were having a sample sale when I went in for a look and I fell in love with a Casablaca dress. The dress fit me perfectly and I knew it was the one...unfortunately, it wasn't part of the sample sale. I told Roz I loved the dress and asked her if I could buy the sample I was wearing. After checking with a manager (?), she came back and gave me a great price, which was exactly what I wanted to pay! She even included the cleaning and offered to store it at Ferndales until the wedding (6 months later). When my final fitting came about, it turned out I would need an inch or so taken off unless I wore heels. I wanted to wear flats, but one of the girls pulled me aside and let me in on the price of the alterations, recommending I wear just a tiny heel to pull it up. I thought that was incredibly nice of her, since it would have cost me a fortune! Overall, Ferndales was a great place and I would recommend it to a bride on any budget!!

I was so pleased with Ferndale's! I had the joy of working with Ana and her customer service was exceptional. I truly appreciate the care the staff put into making my dress a "dream" experience from start to finish. Their alterations are done with the utmost care and truly went above and beyond to ensure the dress was perfect. I highly encourage you to go to Ferndales' to get quality customer service and their prices are affordable as well!

Loved the dress and price...Got the dress 5 days before the wedding...was not happy...enough said!!

The ladies of Ferndales make you feel like family and really give you that individual attention you deserve when trying to find that perfect dress. They hand-made my veil to match the pattern on my dress and also designed my earrings to match my necklace. The owner is an amazing woman and she came out every time I had a fitting to make sure I was happy. Thank you for making those moments unforgettable.

All of the ladies at Ferndales Bridal were wonderful to work with. I live about 1 1/2 hours from their location, but found that their selection and attentiveness made the drive worthwhile every time. My sister heard about Ferndales from a friend, and it was the first place I went looking for my wedding dress. We were helped by Roz, who was great to work with. Within an hour, I had picked out my dress and veil. Their selection is amazing and their prices can't be beat. I had such a wonderful experience there that I suggested to my mom that she check them out when she was having trouble finding a dress for the wedding. She paid them a visit, and within an hour she also had picked out a dress that she loved and looked fantastic in!! Their alterations were also great, and they worked hard to ensure that my dress fit perfectly on the big day. I would recommend them to anyone wanting the attention and service of a small boutique store but without the high boutique prices!!
