Jinny's Bridal Center

I apparently escaped some of the stress and heartache that some brides have gone through with Jinny's Bridal in the past. I worked with Marina, who is pretty straight forward and blunt, which may seem offensive to some people but not to me. She allowed me to pick stuff to try on myself, but also chose a couple of style for me which I would not have picked out myself, and one of which I ultimately ended up choosing because it just looked so good on me. I went dress shopping with only 6 or 7 weeks left before the wedding, so ordering was not an option for me. I was undecided between 2 dresses, but one I had to order (and they could only order one for me that would be 2 sizes too big so that would be alterations galore!), and the other I could buy off the rack but just needed to be cleaned and one of the corset loops needed to be fixed. I kept the reviews I had seen about this place in mind and decided to go with the off-the-rack dress. They offered to clean and fix it for me at no charge, which they did. Because the dresses have no labels or tags, I will never know if I overpaid for the dress, but at this point I don't care anymore. I would recommend them but with caution.

I was able to find a brand name gown for a decent price. Service was not up to par, but the dress arrived before expected and the price was great.

Don't buy your dress fom here. I work in a hair salon and there were 4 of us who got married in just a few months and we all got our dresses from here. Let's put it this way, the first bride was told that her dress was too big on her, after alterations, because she needed to go to a buffet and eat. The second bride picked her dress up the day before her wedding and there were black smudges all down her train, and they told her that she did it when she did her final fitting?. The third bride(me) went to try my dress on when it came in and it was huge. The lady told me that I ordered that size so it was my fault that it was so big, but I have no idea what size to order? That's her job to tell me, I'm the bride? She was so rude to me and I felt talked down to. They order your dress in the wrong size so that you have to do lots of alterations and pay them even more money. It's wrong. The forth bride ordered her dream dress and then it came in and was huge on her as well, and the pleating on it was all messed up on the top. They told her they would fix it for her. Long story short, she paid for 3 sets of alterations, tried her dress on so many times that it was not special anymore, and decided to go somewhere else and had to buy a whole new dress because they would not get the first one correct. If you go anywhere to buy a dress don't go here, to have so many things happen to 3 other people that I know with in just a few months shows that they are not a good place to go to. You want your wedding dress shopping experience to be amazing and all 4 of us had a headache all of the way until our wedding day, so don't go there.

I purchased my wedding gown and bridesmaids dresses from Jinny's. My bridal consultant was Marina Thomas, and she was FABULOUS!I had an idea of what I wanted, but wasn't liking a lot of what I was finding out there. I visited Jinny's with a friend who had been there before, and my experience was WAY different than other shops. At David's Bridal, I had a teenage girl trying to get me to buy a dress on sale the first time I was there. She was really pushy, not very nice, and when she realized I wasn't buying, got major attitude. I also went to Mary Me Bridal. Service was a tad better, but not a lot. Dresses were expensive, and she wasn't getting my vision at all.Jinny's was a really great experience!! Marina made it fun, let me say what I thought of each dress before she gave me her opinion, and made suggestions based on my vision, which lead me to a dress that I would have never tried on without her. I know this is biased, but I think my dress was the best dress I've ever seen :-) When I had made a decision on the dress, I called all over southern California trying to find it cheaper. One guy originally said he would do it for 10% less, but in the end, couldn't come through. I went back to Jinny's and they were able to work with me on veil & alterations pricing so that I could keep everything in budget. They also helped me work it out in 2 payments so it wouldn't be a big up-front cost.My only issue was that when I spoke with someone other than Marina or Jinny over the phone, I didn't always get a call back when they told me they would. But Marina & Jinny always did what they said they would, and went above & beyond to make me a satisfied bride!Jinny's was so great for everything, that when my best friend had a major issue for her own wedding's bridemaid's dresses at a different shop, we called Jinny's and they took us right before closing and Marina & Jinny stayed late with us until my best friend found the exact dress/color/fabric she wanted. Emergency averted, thanks to Jinny & Marina!!

A great place to get your dress! Super nice staff. Great pricing. Beat other salons by more than 10% on pricing. My dress came earlier than expected and I was so happy! It was a great experience.

I got the priviledge of working with Jinny herself! She was great! Very patient and flexible. I had gone dress shopping so many times with so many different people! In the end, I decided to go by myself. I was SOOO indecisive! Jinny was there with me to talk me through my options and keep me within budget. She helped me completely customize a Casablanca 1858 into my perfect wedding dress! Every measurement she did for me was perfect - I changed the dress into a corset back and did a custom height measurement. My wedding dress fit our vintage Alice in Wonderland theme while staying classy!Thank you Jinny!!

Loads of selection but can get a lil pricy

My review is for my gown alternation experience at Jinny's. I bought my wedding gown from a store in San Diego and brought to Jinny's in Huntington Beach because I live in Orange County. Also my friend who recently was married highly recommended Alicia to me. I'm glad I listened to my friend. Alicia was the most friendly seamstress I talked to while price shopping. She also ended up being the cheapest for the alterations I needed. My dress was a size 2 and needed to be shrunk down to a 0, with neckline modifications and a bustle. She was skillful and smart, and came up with creative ways to make my dress look gorgeous on me. The scooped sweatheart neckline she added made the dress look more modern. The bustle design was complicated yet so beautiful that so many people commented on it. Alicia met me as many times as necessary to get my gown fit. She completed the work she promised at every appointment. She followed my instructions and made my gown exactly the way I wanted. She was a simply amazing person.One thing I think the store itself can improve is appointment management. I had to wait an hour for one of my appointments although I arrived on time. They can get really busy sometimes. Regardless of that, I was very happy with Alicia. Thank you Alicia!

This is where my friend bought her dress and she mentioned to me they also did alterations on dresses even if they were not purchased there. Well I called and made an appointment to have my dress altered. I showed up to my appointment and my seamstress was going back and forth between me and another bride and mixing up our requests. She was running behind and once my measurement was taken she said she was going on vacation and it would take an extra week. Something she should have mentioned before all my time was spent there. Once my alterations were completed I went in for a final fitting and they were done incorrectly. I asked her what happen she said that is the way I wanted it which is not true. I asked if she could fix it to the way I requested and she was unresponsive. I took my dress home and contacted the owner I was put on hold for several minutes and then they asked me to just leave a message I never received a call back. So I sent an email and still have never heard a response. I looked on YELP and they had tons of bad reviews I wish I would have looked there first!! I have yet to hear a response to my incorrect alterations.

where do I begin..My initial visit to Jinny's bridal was a positive one. I was looking for a a specific dress and to see if altetrations could eeb made to the dress. Jinny herself was not in the salon that day but the sales girl called her and Jinny called me from home to discuss what I wanted. That was great service! I decided to continue shop around. Ultimately I came back to Jinny's and tried on a few gowns. I decided to purchase a dress that I thought was my dream dress...until it was delivered. The sales girl severly misinformed me about the beading on the gown. Jinny helped me to try on my gown when it first arrived and ended up in tears and she pawned me off on another associate. The original sales girl coincidently didnt work there anymore. I refused to pay the balance on the gown and left, in tears. I called Jinny a few days later asking for a refund of my deposit and she was rude, interruptive and would simply not listen. After numerous letters and emails went unanswered, I filed a claim in small claims court. She filed a countersuit for the balance but the judge awarded in my favor. I was ecstatic. Jinny paid and the matter is now behind us. i would not recommend going to Jinny's for such an important day in your life. Yes, the prices are cheap but you will make a huge sacrifice on quality.

I had a wonderful experience at Jinny's. I made an appointment and was seen right away. My dress was the second one I tried on, and it was beautiful! They weren't pushy, they were very helpful, and overall it was a great experience. I also purchased a clip for my hair which turned out to be my favorite accessory. I was not disappointed at all and I highly recommend Jinny's for any bride who is looking for an affordable, yet beautiful dress :-)

Bought my dress off the rack because I didnt have enough time to order one and the staff was really great to work with. Great pricing, alterations were quick. Jinny was super nice and accommodating.

I originally went to the Mariposa Boutique in Orange County to find a wedding dress... I hated it there and everything they had. My MOH suggested Jinny's Bridal... which I've never heard of but decided anything was better then my first experience. It's a total hole in the wall but absolutely amazing. At that point I didn't even know what type of dress I wanted, Marina took one look at me, pulled a dress out of a rack and took me to the dressing room. When I came out my mother, MOH, and sisters all started crying. It was perfect! She knew exactly the dress that was meant or my body. I bought my dress, veil, hair accessory, and shoes there well within my attire budget. Everything was ordered and then my dress came in. I'm very short so Marina suggested a petite dress, which would save money on alterations. The dress came in defective. The front bottom hem was crooked. Jinny then became involved. She called the manufacturer and had them compensate me for the error. The hem was fixed and nobody could tell there was an error. I totally suggest Jinny's Bridal. They were absolutely a pleasure to work with.

I bought my wedding dress and veil at Jinny's Bridal. Elizabeth also did my dress alterations. I had a great experience with the staff. My twin has since bought her wedding dress here as well. Great shop with a great selection. :)

Jinny's had great prices. Marina was very helpful in finding the perfect dress. I had a short engagement and Jinny was able to get my dress in 3 weeks! I did have some problems with my veil. They forgot to order it, and when I followed up 2 weeks later I had a hard time getting someone to return my calls. When I finally spoke to someone who was willing to help she had my veil in a week. Great prices and selection, just make sure you follow up with them.

LOVE this place, the people, everything about Jinny! I would highly recommend anyone looking for a wedding dress go here first, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I bought my dress here and I loved the dress. The shop is no frills which is nice because you can pick out the dresses you want to try on yourself, but it is always busy so the person helping you will be helping at least one or two other people at the same time.

Jinny's was extremely friendly. They had a HUGE selection of couture dresses at reasonable prices. I loved going in there every time I had an appointment. They were very accommodating.

My wedding dress shopping became a pleasant experience when I came to Jinny's to search out my perfect and affordable wedding dress. I found it and fell in love without blowing my $700 budget!

I don't have much sense in style, and I don't really know what I wanted besides simple. I went to few bridal stores, but I couldn't find anything that I liked, until I went to Jinny's Bridal. All the ladies in Jinny's Bridal are very friendly and patient. Not knowing what I wanted, they went through different styles until they found me the perfect dress that I loved! The order was quick & I did my alteration & press with them as well. The day I did my alteration, I was very upset, because I just put my cat to sleep the night before. While I was trying on my gown, I couldn't hold my tears, and the staff at Jinny's saw it. They came to me one by one and gave me a hug, that made me feel so warm. They talked to me and made sure that I was ok before letting me left the shop. It was very thoughtful of them and I couldn't thank them more for that.
