We hired Rev. Turcot for our wedding in the Tampa area. Upon first meeting him he seemed legit and experienced. However, the service he provided was horrible. He did not follow along with what he told us would be read. He kept loosing his place and flipping through the pages, we even repeated a portion of the service because he didn't realized he read it already. This man is a joke and apparently enjoys ripping people off and getting a free dinner out of it for him and his wife. DO NOT HIRE this man, unless you want an embarassing service!

Contracted and paid deposit for a wedding in Florida. He left Florida and moved to California without any notification and refuses to return the $100.00 deposit her required when we booked him. Spoke with 2 other Floridians who had a similar experience. DO NOT USE HIM!!!

Similiar to other couples in the Tampa Bay area, Mr. Turcot accpeted a deposit and never showed to perform the service. Requests for a refund have gone unanswered for 9 months. M. Turcot has now fled Florida and is residing in California. Do not use this individual for your service.

Rev. Turcot is now in Westminster CA but we contracted with him in summer of 2006 when he was living in Tampa Florida for our October 2006 wedding. This is the same Rev. Turcot, retired Air Force (or so he says) same picture listed as when we met him at a Tampa restaurant to go over details of our wedding. He is very believable and very friendly at your initial consultation, we talked for over an hour, went over ceremony details and everything. In the end we put down a deposit with him and wrote a check for what I believe was about $150, (been a couple years since we did this). The balance of course would be payable on day of wedding in cash. Time goes by and about a month before our wedding we get a call from another priest who says he can now do our wedding in place of Rev. Turcot as Turcot had an emergency in Alabama. The whole story seemed a little fishy as we spoke with the other priest. We were not happy and asked to speak with Rev. Turcot. He finally returned our phone calls after about a week, said he would refund our deposit and we could find another Rev of our choice on short notice no less. We did find another Rev who did a great job, (I'll write a review on him shortly), but we NEVER got our DEPOSIT MONEY BACK from Rev. Turcot. Come to see today if you check this link he has performed the same sort of stunt on other couples in Tampa, Chicago, and now as recently as June of 2008 at his new home in California: http://www.decidio.com/local-businesses/v-52-officiants/california/Westminster/rev-dr-ronald-r-turcot-r57724.html#8953With the other couples' stories it's basically a variation on what he did with us, set up a consultation, perform well at that first meeting and seem genuine, get your deposit money and take off never to be seen again. I remember the day we met him another couple was there before us and another couple was coming in after us to meet with him. I can only imagine how many people he has done this too. Guess when enough complaints are made to local police he packs up and heads somewhere new to start all over again.
